This page is maintained by LoveUIDo to answer common privacy and data-handling questions about photo verification. It reflects controls currently enabled in the app; it is not an independent certification.
Biometric opt-out
When you verify your photo, LoveUIDo compares a live selfie to the profile photos you uploaded. This uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) Rekognition as a sub-processor for face detection and face matching only.
AWS Organizations AI services opt-out policy attached; recorded in Privacy Policy §5a.
With this policy in place, Amazon does not store or use your images to develop or improve its AI/ML services. The opt-out is applied at the AWS Organizations level for the account that runs verification.
What we do with verification media
- Your selfie is held in memory only long enough to call AWS Rekognition. It is never written to our database, storage bucket, logs, or any temporary file.
- We use Rekognition statelessly. We do not create a Rekognition face collection, index face vectors, or store biometric templates on your behalf.
- We save only the outcome to your profile: verified true/false, the timestamp, numeric liveness and match scores, and the timestamp of your biometric consent.
- Regular profile photos you choose to display are separate and are stored in our own private bucket, encrypted at rest.
Consent first
We do not capture a verification selfie until you tick the biometric-consent checkbox on the verification screen. We record the timestamp of that consent to your profile so you and we can always see when it was given.
